Cresk was assigned the task of developing a new logo that conveys the company’s core value: solving the problem of deeper and customizable consumer insights. Accompanied with a tailored lettering approach for the logotype, the new brand mark for Obsidian needed to be mysterious, minimalist, bold and reliable.
An Obsidian is a usually black or banded, hard volcanic glass that displays shiny, curved surfaces when fractured and is formed by rapid cooling of lava.
